The TruLaser Tube 7000 fiber from TRUMPF can cut tubes and profiles with diameters of up to 10 in. and materials as thick as 0.5 in. It also can execute high-quality bevel cuts up to 45 degrees, the company reports.

The 4,000-W TruDisk 4001 laser cuts reflective materials such as aluminum, brass, copper, and stainless quickly. By superimposing the movements of the tube axis and cutting head, the manufacturer reports it has achieved a fourfold increase in machine dynamics. This allows high feed rates even in small contours.

The beam guard is designed to give the operator unrestricted access to the loading/unloading side of the machine. The software has 3-D Tube Construction and Interface modules that allow 3D programming and importing of CAD data and assemblies in all common formats, and it automatically optimizes and nests the tube processing.
