Pipe Manufacturing | RingSaw is still on the road to success

TMK-ARTROM is a leading European pipe manufacturer based in the south of Romania. The production is focused on thick-wall seamless steel pipes, mainly for the machine tool and oil and gas industries. The company is part of the TMK-Group, an international operating Russian consortium. For years, the TMK Group has been one of REIKA's Global Key Accounts. The long-standing cooperation is constantly developing, consolidating REIKA‘s and the customers‘ position on the market.

A special challenge during this project was the integration of the two new RingSaw®s into the existing finishing line behind the quench & tempering shop. The RingSaw®s will be used for end and partial length cutting and will replace obsolete cutting machines. The new line is designed for quenched and tempered thick-wall steel tubes in grades J55 - P110. Due to the high performance of the new machines, it is possible to co-ordinate further processing directly from the tempering area, even with sample cutting.

Close attention was paid during the spectacular loading of the two machines in January. The REIKA employees did not miss the opportunity to be on site during shipping. At night, the heavy load transport with escorting police and safety vehicles left in time to Romania.
