The software can automatically generate robot programs for plasma cutting and welding based on CAD drawings. It provides software that allows "automated" programming based on CAD. It has formed a powerful development team in collaboration with Cloos, an American company specializing in robotic welding systems.

Petrosmith is a manufacturer of surface production equipment for the oil and natural gas industry. The manufacturer calls for relevant innovations in the robotic system for the process of automated welding and cutting of ship hull components to meet production needs. For labor-intensive robotic welding projects, Petrosmith is committed to enhancing the productivity of robots, the degree of process automation, and increasing the production volume of shipbuilding.

The president of Petrosmith stated: Introducing robots into the production process can quickly complete the production of small batch custom products, and also produce repeatable, high-quality head welds for standardized hull designs.

Although the introduction of robotic welding has improved production efficiency, Justin Hammond, the hull operations manager at Petrosmith, straightforwardly stated that employees need not worry about unemployment. Petrosmith introduced robots not to lay off workers, but to redistribute resources to areas where manpower is needed more, realizing the rational use of resources.
