In 2024, Baosteel launched the steel industry's first industrial large model. The results of its practice are remarkable: its 'Cold Rolling AI Operator' has processed over 40,000 steel coils, achieving a usage rate of 90%, reducing steel production costs by 3.79%, and increasing the annual profit of a single line by nearly 15 million yuan.

Baogang is reducing defect rates through intelligent upgrades; Tianjin Pipe has introduced AI visual inspection robots, increasing the efficiency of key indicator detection more than tenfold. These cases jointly confirm the effectiveness of the 'scale-driven' path—using strong capital and data as a foundation to make systematic intelligent investments, ultimately achieving leaps in efficiency and quality.

The success of leading enterprises relies on key supports: clear national policy guidance, strong capital strength, and continuous massive data streams. Their practices point the way for the entire industry: intelligent transformation is the key means to overcome overcapacity and enhance core competitiveness. 

However, this path also reshapes the competitive landscape. The high investment and long cycle characteristics of intelligent transformation are turning early-mover advantages into a 'digital moat.' Industry technological barriers have significantly increased, and market concentration may further rise. Currently, the intelligentization process shows a distinct tiered pattern. How to spread the benefits from specific 'points' to a broader 'surface' and drive collaborative upgrades along the industry chain has become a key question for the industry's future.
